A brand upholding British heritage, design and craftsmanship since 1856, Hunter is a brand combining comfort, style and practicality for the whole family.
Upper: Soft Rubber Compound
Beginning their journey way back in 1856, the brand Hunter has evolved into an innovative brand of practical working boots, safety boots and fashionable leisure boots ensuring comfort and practicality is not compromised.
Founded by American entrepreneur Henry Lee Norris who also founded the North British Rubber Company which we now know as Hunter. The brand, to much disbelief, actually begun producing boots and other industrial items using the highest quality and innovative vulcanised rubber. From a small team of just four people the team grew to 600 member which then only grew and expanded further during World War I in 1914. Hunter boots were made for sturdy military wear to protect soldiers out in the trenches. The company eventually manufactured over 1 million boots over the war period creating a well recognised and positive recognition. Subsequently they were called upon in 1939 for World War II.
The Iconic Boot:
Hunter is mostly known for the classic and iconic Original Green Wellington which has carried through style across most of their wellingtons. This iconic style was produced in 1956 as a leisure wear boot holding such heritage that even now, boots are made with the original last and are handcrafted from 28 parts. This is the brands legacy to keep tradition and quality to the highest standard still handcrafting until today.
Now, the brand appeals to not only work force environments but for leisure wear like festivals, celebrity casual wear and even royalty! Lady Diana wore the classic Hunter boots for her engagement photo shoot to Kate Moss wearing them to Glastonbury.
